Brin de muguet dans un pot en verre

Our story

Ernestine Café opened its doors in September 2020, driven by Julie’s passion and determination. Despite the challenges imposed by health restrictions, Julie worked tirelessly to make her café a welcoming and warm place for the neighborhood.

In July 2021, Julie had to temporarily close the café due to her pregnancy. That’s when Yannis stepped in, discovering this charming place and offering to help Julie. During her absence, Yannis took over Ernestine Café from September to December 2021, helping to maintain the café’s family-friendly spirit.

Since Julie’s return, she and Yannis have been working in tandem, supporting each other to provide an exceptional guest experience. Together, they have hosted a variety of activities including workshops, brunches, tea parties and private events, creating a special meeting place for parents and children.

Between September 2022 and September 2024, major renovations in the neighboring building forced Ernestine Café to limit its opening hours to weekends. Despite these challenges, Julie and Yannis have maintained their commitment to the neighborhood, providing a haven where connections are strengthened and smiles are common.

In July 2024, Julie made the decision to pursue another path, entrusting Ernestine Café to Yannis. With his experience and vision, Yannis decided to open the café daily, focusing on strengthening human connections and intergenerational relationships.

Today, Ernestine Café continues to be a place of conviviality and sharing, where stories are woven and friendships are forged around a cup of coffee, a good pastry and a warm smile.
